I LEFT MY NEWBORN WITH MY HUSBAND FOR A WORK TRIP AND HE BEGAN ACTING WEIRD WHEN I RETURNED
I’m a neurologist and totally love my job. I’ve been married to my husband for four years now. He’s in marketing, but I make three times what he does. From day one, I told him I wasn’t sure about having biological kids and always dreamed of adopting. He seemed cool with it until his best friend had a baby boy last year. Then he started pushing for kids, but I wanted to wait a few more years, since my career was just taking off.
But surprise, I got pregnant last August. After a lot of talks, we decided to keep the baby, and he agreed to quit his job and stay home with our daughter until she starts preschool. It made sense because I earn more, I’m just starting my career, and I can’t stand the idea of being a housewife. Plus, I don’t trust daycare until she’s old enough to talk.
Our baby girl is 9 weeks old now, and I’m gearing up to go back to work soon. I went to this amazing medical conference out of state last weekend, leaving my husband with the baby. But get this: when I got back, he started acting super weird.
Today, while our daughter was napping, I asked him what was up, and then he confessed.
